Local Art at The Bridge #2
Art works wanted.
Deadline for proposals, midnight 13th June 2011
Tower Bridge, from suspended walkways to balanced bascules, is a work of art; a working sculpture which couples engineering expertise & victorian gothic sensibility. Since 1894, the Bridge has connected the communities of London together over the tidal Thames.
Following the success of Art at The Bridge #1, SOUTHWARK ARTS FORUM and Tower Bridge Exhibition look forward to receiving your proposal for the exhibition of work that is concerned, like the Bridge itself, with notions of; connectivity, bridging the gap or a reflection of community values.
The show will open at 6pm on Thursday 7 July 2011, and will continue for 3 months.
All forms of art practice are welcome for submission.
It is a good idea to visit Tower Bridge to understand the exhibition spaces, tours will be run in May and June, contact firstname.lastname@example.org to reserve a place.
Work chosen for the space will be created by members of Southwark Arts Forum. Work submitted without a membership number will not be considered, but everyone is welcome to become a member. Applications from art collectives, local community groups & schools are welcome, and will need a SAF member in their team.
